December 23, 2016 – This past week New Frontier Data and Arcview Market Research released a report projecting Colorado’s total cannabis market could grow to more than $2 billion by 2020, adding that the state’s medical cannabis sales are expected to total $438 million in 2016, and reaching $663 million by 2020. Adult use sales are expected to total $739 million in 2016 and grow to $1.34 billion by 2020.

As of October, Colorado’s Department of Public Health & Environment reports the total number of current, active medical marijuana patients in the state is 102,914. This would put the average amount patients in Colorado are spending on medical marijuana at $354 / month.
